Magpul PMAG Magazine

PMAG 30 M3 Magazine by Magpul

The PMAG 30 M3 will be available with or without a maglevel (also known as 'windowed' and 'non-windowed' type of magazine).

Other new Magpul products include the Maglink, a magazine coupler, a low profile hand stop and a low profile floor plate.

I am a fan of PMAG too. I am using both the windowed (the one where you can see the level of your ammunition load) and non-windowed models. I had not encountered any problem with this magazine so far. I like the following factors:

  • Not as heavy as the military-issue magazines and any of the Heckler and Koch magazines
  • It can resist damage better than the aluminum magazines. (I can still vividly recall an incident  in the field when the spring of my Colt magazine flew away when I accidentally dropped my fully- loaded mag on a hard surface before crossing a river)
  • It is easier to load into the rifle's magazine well
  • It has ridges throughout its surface, making it easier to grasp during reload
  • You can see the level of your ammunition (for windowed magazines) just like the AUG Steyr magazines
  • It is very easy to disassemble for cleaning purposes
  • It doesn't create much noise when you accidentally drop it during combat patrols

Price is about P3,000.00-P3,500.00 in the local gun stores.
