Summer Fellowship Fun Shoot

On May 20, 2012, I helped organize a fun shoot dubbed as "Summer Fellowship Funshoot" intended to bolster the camaraderie among members of 1994 classes of PMA, PNPA, PMMA and OCS.  At least 50 participants came to join the exciting shooting game with friends from the military and the police.
We set up the Course of Fire (COF) early in the morning of the actual event.

ARMSCOR, our sponsor, came to display their products. The company donated one M1911A1 pistol as a raffle prize. I proudly wore the ARMSCOR shooting shirt that was given to me in one of the competitions last year. This company has also sponsored the Army Shooting Team during our participation in the Games of the Generals.

Lugaw Queen, a fast rising business from Laguna owned by Mr. and Mrs Sherwin Aquino, supported us. Dr. Carl Balita of DZMM's 'Radyo Negosyo' ensured that all participants won't go hungry during the day-long gruelling encounter with target papers.

As early as 7:30am, early birds came in to register and start reviewing the Course of Fire.
We had a short briefing on the COF and I  gave a quick overview on the basic gun safety procedures.

I joined the early comers in their dry practices prior to the basic marskmanship COF.

IPSC format shooting is all about speed, power and accuracy. The faster you shoot, the better, as long as you accurately hit the mark.

The shooting event we organized was a huge success. We rekindled old friendships and established new lines of communications needed in the performance of our various mandates.
